MEET OUR PASTORS
Dr. Clifton Clarke - Lead Pastor
Dr. Clifton Clarke is the Lead Pastor at New Beginnings Church, bringing a wealth of experience and a global perspective to his leadership. Originally from the UK, Dr. Clarke has served in diverse ministry roles across the world, including as a pastor, professor, and missionary. He holds a Bachelor's from the University of Nottingham, a Master's in Religious Studies from the University of Derby, and a Ph.D. in Theology from the University of Birmingham. Before coming to New Beginnings, Dr. Clarke taught theology at the University of Nottingham, served as Dean at Pan African Christian University in Ghana, and was a Professor of Intercultural Studies at Regent University. He is also the Church of God Bishop for San Fernando Valley, CA, and has authored 25 books.
Dr. Clarke’s heart for God, passion for teaching, and commitment to impacting lives guide his leadership at New Beginnings. He’s excited to lead the church into a new season of growth and impact. Dr. Clarke is married to Dr. Marcia Clarke, and together they have two adult children, Joel and Jessica.
Marcia Clarke - Pastor - Worship & Discipleship
Pastor Marcia has been living and serving at New Beginnings since December 2019. Originally from England, she gave her life to Christ at 13 and jumped into serving in different leadership roles at her local church. Before moving to California, she worked as a missionary, church planter, public school teacher, university lecturer, and administrator. She also has a Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate, all from England. When she’s not busy with ministry, Marcia loves good food, spending time with her family, and sharing lots of laughs. She can’t wait to meet you at New Beginnings soon!
